FM3 in Berlin, Barcelona and Beijing!

Its been a warm winter in Beijing, so we have indulged ourselves in various whimsy, like this recent performance of the China avant-supergroup SPICE BOYS, which featured Zhang and I and our friends Wang Fan, Wu Quan and Yan Jun eating painfully spicy peppers and singing a classic 1940s Shanghai tune. spiceboys.jpg And after a 1 year hiatus, Zhang and I have gone back underground into our bomb-shelter practice studio to develop a new set for the 2007 tour season. Its back to guitar, organ and various Chinese folk instruments. You can see it in March at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin or in May at Moers Musik in Cologne, or in June at SONAR. ctm.jpg Next week we are back on the road in Europe. The 2007 tour season kicks off 31 January at Club Transmediale, where Robert Henke, Mapstation and friends do live versions of their Jukebox Buddha and Layering Buddha productions. Zhang and I will create a series of Buddha Machine sound environments around the venue and perhaps do an impromptu live set. transmediale Then on 01 February, come see us at Transmediale, where we will unveil our latest artifact. More than two years in the making, the project spans three continents, dozens of artists and numerous failures before it finally came to life... On 04 February we are in Leipzig for a Buddha Boxing gig at parismoskau. Our good friend Markus Detmer from Staubgold will provide able DJ support. In March we are arranging gigs in Scandanavia, Israel and Ireland. We wil also be in Paris for the Qwartz Music Awards and Budapest for Ultrahang.
